The Shakespeare Product: Status Update

The Shakespeare Product is an ongoing exploration of of Shakespeare's work, with an emphasis on the revenue-generating elements that make Shakespeare a product.  The blog began in January 2011, in an effort to fulfill course learning outcomes for a Shakespeare class at Brigham Young University.  Since the blog is driven largely by the course curriculum, I've created a new page entitled, "Learning Outcomes."  The Learning Outcomes page will serve two purposes: 1) To provide a comprehensive lists of posts and how they have met the requirements of my Shakespeare course; 2) To offer a "skeleton" of my research to anyone who participates in my blog as a reader.  As I still have several learning outcomes to fulfill, I'd be happy to receive any feedback regarding the direction I should take to complete them.

Excellent idea, Max! I will definitely be using it in my own blog. It is such a great way to organize it, and also helpful for Professor Burton, I am sure.
I was just looking for pictures for my blog, and you should type in "Shakespeare money" sometime, and see what images might be useful. I thought there were a handful that would look great on your blog.
I have also been thinking more and more about your business vein as I am researching race and colonization in Shakespeare. I am usually brought back in my mind to how Shakespeare was constantly seeking the ideas that were of interest during the time. Ultimately, many of the same underlying concerns people had in the past, still concern people today, even if the stand on those topics changes.
Have you looked into any seeming political statements in Shakespeare's plays which are contradicted in other plays? This would prove that Shakespeare was catering to different audience members and wasn't trying to reveal his own feelings on many matters, proving yet again that Shakespeare was primarily concerned with making money. (I mentioned this briefly in class, but I am interested if you have looked into it at all.) Perhaps your interests lie elsewhere, which is perfectly fine.
I have had a tab for my learning outcome since early on, but It had not occurred to me to go back and link the specific posts to it that are meeting the requirements that are detailed therein. I think this is a great idea, especially since we don’t know in what order someone will be directed to our blog. This helps to streamline the content of the blog even further because it makes it easier to get to both the sources, and our thoughts as they relate to specific elements of the course. I like how it ties everything together. Thanks for doing this Max. I think it is awesome, and I’m going to copy this idea.
